Celebrate Spring at Maine Huts & Trails

KINGFIELD, Maine – Spring in Maine means longer days, waterfalls swelled by melting snow from mountaintops and enjoying the outdoors without the bulky layers of winter clothing. It's also the time when Maine Huts & Trails celebrates spring conditions by offering half-price full-hut rentals at all four lodges. From late March until late June, groups can find true off-the-grid experiences at low rates during the self-service season.

A full-hut rental is a great way to bond by sharing physical activity in an outdoor setting that is accessed only by people-powered transportation.

Guests who visit in the spring have the opportunity to explore 80 miles of trails by hiking, skiing, fat tire biking or snowshoeing, depending on the weather. For those who like to cross-country ski or snowshoe, it is a great time to be on the trails taking in the signs of spring. Those who love to fish are in luck, too! Trout and salmon are especially active in the Dead River and in the Grand Falls area this time of year.

The huts are completely off the grid, providing total escape from everyday stress with the comforts of home, complete with welcoming lodges including features like state-of-the-art composting flush toilets, hot showers and comfortable bunkhouses.
