1-Hut Guided Snowshoe

2-Day/1-Night @ 1 Hut (Stratton Brook Hut)

Snowshoe through the woods on a beautifully wild trail, weaving through the forest with the confidence of a Registered Maine Guide. Experience the challenge of the vertical climb and be rewarded with outstanding views of Sugarloaf and Bigelow Mountains. Enjoy three delicious meals, hot showers, a warm fieldstone fireplace and friendly atmosphere.

Itinerary Outline

Day 1:
12:00 PM Drop your gear off at the Airport Trailhead in Carrabassett Valley so that it can be shuttled to the hut (Shuttle leaves at 12:00 noon. Click here for more information on gear shuttles.)
12:30 PM Meet your guide at the Route 27/Stratton Brook Trailhead, and snowshoe the Narrow Gauge and Newton’s Revenge Trails to Oak Knoll Trail and follow all the way to Stratton Brook Hut (4.4 miles total)
6:00 PM Dinner
Day 2:
7:30 AM Breakfast & gear shuttle departure
8:30 Snowshoe with your guide back to your vehicle at the Route 27/Stratton Brook Trailhead (4.4 miles total)
12:00 PM Don’t forget to grab your gear at the Airport Trailhead on your way by!



One night of lodging, all meals, two gear shuttles and guide for two days.
