2-Day/1-Night @ 1 Hut (Stratton Brook Hut)
Snowshoe through the woods on a beautifully wild trail, weaving through the forest with the confidence of a Registered Maine Guide. Experience the challenge of the vertical climb and be rewarded with outstanding views of Sugarloaf and Bigelow Mountains. Enjoy three delicious meals, hot showers, a warm fieldstone fireplace and friendly atmosphere.
|12:00 PM||Drop your gear off at the Airport Trailhead in Carrabassett Valley so that it can be shuttled to the hut (Shuttle leaves at 12:00 noon. Click here for more information on gear shuttles.)|
|12:30 PM||Meet your guide at the Route 27/Stratton Brook Trailhead|
|1:00 – 4:30 PM||Snowshoe the Narrow Gauge and Newton’s Revenge Trails to the new Oak Knoll Trail and follow all the way to Stratton Brook Hut (4.4 miles total)|
|7:30 AM||Breakfast & gear shuttle departure|
|8:30 – 11:30 AM||Snowshoe with your guide back to your vehicle at the Route 27/Stratton Brook Trailhead (4.4 miles total)|
|12:00 PM||Don’t forget to grab your gear at the Airport Trailhead on your way by!|
