Please note, we don't close the huts due to inclement weather. Due to the remote nature of the huts, and the planning needed for staffing and supplies, we follow a strict cancellation policy. If you do need to cancel a reservation, call the Kingfield office at (207) 265-2400 or email lodging@mainehuts.org.
Summer Rental Cancellation Policy
The initial 25% deposit is due within two weeks of the date of the invoice and secures your rental.
Rentals cancelled 45 day prior to the trip will receive the 25% deposit refunded
Rentals cancelled within 45 days of the trip are NON-REFUNDABLE. No exceptions. We are not responsible for weather, road/trail conditions, health or medical issues, or other factors beyond our control.
Winter Reservation Cancellations Policy
Payment is due at time of booking. Reservations canceled 14 days or less in advance are non-refundable and cannot be modified or rescheduled.
Weather, road and trail conditions, health or medical issues, and other uncontrollable factors, do not change the cancellation policy. Our huts are staffed and open everyday in the winter season.
For those with concerns please consider travel insurance.
