Carrabassett Valley Outdoor Adventure Camp at Flagstaff Lake Hut

A group of campers from the Carrabassett Valley Outdoor Adventure Camp ended up with some perfect summer weather for their visit to Flagstaff Lake Hut last week! Much of their trip was spent down at the lake, in and on the water. The group split in two on Tuesday afternoon, with one half swimming and the other half paddling canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. They ended their day with a hearty spaghetti dinner and s’mores around the campfire.

They were back at the lake on Wednesday morning, and the groups took turns participating in a canoe clinic, led by two Maine Huts & Trails staff. Paddlers learned canoeing basics, and participated in a race against other boats.
