Grand Falls is the most remote and secluded hut, being the northernmost point in the entire system. With spectacular views, proximity to Grand Falls waterfall, and access by boat, this hut is a favorite for many.
Grand Falls Hut and the surrounding trails are temporarily closed. Plans are in the works to update the trails and solar battery system. We are eager to get majestic Grand Falls Hut back up and running, and hope to start work in summer 2023.

Staying at Grand Falls Hut
Grand Falls Hut is located on the Dead River, just under eight miles from the Big Eddy Trailhead. Guests can plan a one of kind fishing trip or create a base camp for a paddle or white water trip down the Dead River.
When you visit Grand Falls Hut, be prepared for limited access to power outlets and cellphone service. The hut has hot water, heat, indoor plumbing, a full commercial kitchen, and electricity, but we put a heavy focus on conservation of these resources. Bunkrooms are kept at temperatures around 50°F during winter and we ask that lights be turned off whenever you leave a room.
All rooms at the Huts are booked as private accommodations, with bunk space available for 2 -12 people. We do not book shared rooms with other guests.
Please bring a pair of shoes or heavy socks to wear inside when you take off your trail shoes and boots. Removing outside shoes helps us keep the hut clean and ready all our guests.
Special Thanks to Our Donors
