The Stratton Brook/Rt 27 Trailhead is the gateway to the western end of the Narrow Gauge pathway and access our Stratton Brook Hut. Located just past the Sugarloaf Mountain Access Road, the trailhead is centrally located to the towns of Stratton, Eustis and Carrabassett Valley.
The Trailhead has a large parking lot, information kiosk and outhouse. Access The Maine Hut Trail, Newton’s Revenge Trail and Oak Knoll Trail from this area. The trailhead connects to the mountain bike trails maintained by Carrabassett Valley NEMBA and continues down the Narrow Gauge to the Airport Trailhead. Overnight parking is allowed.
Please note, winter gear shuttles going to Stratton Brook Hut depart and pick up from the Airport Trailhead.
