The ultimate food immersive experience. Trek to Stratton Hut on the afternoon of February 28th for a curated multi-course dinner by the James Beard award-winning chef and crew at Big Tree Catering. Dinner, overnight, breakfast and conversation with Big Tree Catering & Maine Huts & Trails leadership are all on the menu. In addition, meet the culinary team behind Eventide Oysters, The Honey Paw, and Big Tree Catering prior to the main event: the Alpine Feast.

Gear shuttle, Friday multi-course dinner, private room for groups 2+, (shared room for singles) and Saturday breakfast by Big Tree Catering are included. Be onsite for Alpine Feast with a relaxing morning, and see the event unfold. Price is $350 per person, and includes Alpine Feast entry ticket.

Trailheads: Stratton Brook/Rte 27 Trailhead offers the shortest, but steepest, trek of 3.1 miles up Newton’s Revenge. Looking for a gentler slope? Crommett’s Overlook Trail via the Airport Trailhead is longer at 4.7 miles, but a more gradual climb. Visit our trails to the huts page for full info.

Getting to the hut: Attendees must be able to access the event by snowshoe, ski, or fat biking between 3 and 4.7 miles. There is no motorized transportation to the huts.

Amenities: Stratton Brook Hut is a modern eco-lodge, offering radiant floor heating, wood stoves, comfortable couches, communal eating areas, modern composting toilets, hot water, and more. In addition to the great food from Big Tree, hot coffee and tea will be provided. Beer, wine, cider, and more available for purchase. Full hut amenities list may be found here.
