The History
In 1775, Benedict Arnold and 1,100 Continental troops marched from Massachusetts to Quebec. They passed through the the area known as the Great Carrying Place Portage Trail, located just south of Flagstaff Lake Hut. For the 250th anniversary of the march, visiting historians will be putting on reenactments and more.
The Music
We are thrilled to welcome local favorites the Sandy River Ramblers to Flagstaff Lake Hut. Their foot-stomping bluegrass music will be sure to delight all listeners. Check out some of their live performances.
Flagstaff Lake Hut
Our lakeside hut offers some of the best lodging on Flagstaff Lake. Guests will be greeted with bright birch forests, lakeside trails, day-use canoes, kayaks, and some of the best birding in the area.
