Nordic Trail Groomer
Now accepting application for the Winter 2018/19 season!
The Trail Groomer is responsible for grooming and maintaining a section of world-class backcountry ski trails in the Maine Huts and Trails system that stretches from Carrabasset Valley to the West Forks. Through the use of snowmobiles and towed grooming equipment, the groomer will accomplish the task of consistently providing trail conditions of exceptional quality that craft the first impression on trail users. The position will also be expected to fullfill additional responsibilities that may include: shuttling guests' gear and hut supplies, shoveling road crossings, maintaining trail corridor, and upkeep of parking areas. Applicants should have experience with the operation and maitenance of snowmobile and trail-grooming equipment, flexible availability, excellent communication skills, resilience in challenging environmental conditions, team-oriented work style along with the ability to work independently, and reliable transportation to Kingfield.

Gear Shuttle Driver
The Gear Shuttle Driver's primary responsibilty is to transport baggage between our trailheads and huts using snowmobiles and Jet sled trailers. Experience in the operation and maintenance of snowmobiles and machinery required. Applicants should have exceptional communication skills, be self-sufficient and have the ability to work alone in an isolated area, and be able to solve problems in order to maintain high standards of service. Other tasks may include, but are not limited to: trail maintenance, blowdowns removal, trail packing for grooming, hut maintenance, trailhead cleaning and shoveling, and food order runs. Reliable transportation to Kingfield is required.
