In the winter months, Maine Huts & Trails provides a backcountry trail experience for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and fat-biking. The trails take a break in the spring for mud season, and return in the summer for biking, hiking, trail running and exploring.
UPDATE: Winter gave us one final present....Two feet of snow! We did a final pass with our snow machines for backcountry enthusiasts. Flagstaff, Stratton and Poplar Huts are closed for the winter season, and trails won't be groomed beyond March 25th. Trails are open, but use at your own risk. We will be posting mud season closures once the season arrives.
