Testimonial: had fun !

Hello, thanks for the great welcome at Maine Huts and Trails! It’s so great that this experience is possible. We lucked out and were able to ski between huts. I think it’s great that you are a not for profit and your vocation of making outdoor recreation accessible is really important. Some feedback from the trip: it was great meeting the hut stewards and they made a great effort to make us feel welcome, and it was a treat to not have to cook! Flagstaff hut had much quieter common areas, perhaps because the configuration was different, or else the kitchen door was often kept closed, and/or the music was played more quietly than the other two huts. This was important to me – being able to relax in the common area in front of the woodstove without overwhelming loud music or hearing everything being said in the kitchen. At Stratton the staff were particularly attentive and we were the only two guests! At Poplar we were greeted by one of the staff in French which was really cool! (my husband’s first language). Thanks for the experience! And I liked the energy tours too!
