Enjoyable Trip

My wife, Nancy, and I had a most enjoyable visit to the Stratton Brook Hut. The crew was friendly and helpful. I write an outdoor column for four Maine newspapers and expect an article will be published about our trip in about 2 weeks: https://www.bangordailynews.com/author/ronchase/. We had an excellent time. I also skied to Poplar Hut with friends on an earlier day trip and expect a column will be published about that episode in about a week.

Perfect getaway with friends!!

I felt so lucky all weekend to get to enjoy the best aspects of nature in Carrabassett Valley while being comfortable with great food choices and meeting new people along the way. The Poplar Hut staff were knowledgeable and helpful for us to get the most out of our time there. Looking forward to my next trip!

Happy Returns

Our last winter visit to ME Huts and Trails was in 2012 and we wondered what had changed since then. Happily, not much! The staff was very responsive and capable, the food was terrific and the common areas were well-maintained. The friends we brought along were also pleased with the introduction to ME Huts and we all enjoyed skiing across the lake, snowshoeing (those small lightweight snowshoes I borrowed suited me better than my own!) meeting other visitors and just relaxing. One night the staff serenaded us and that was a treat. Glad to know that the great vibe and warm hospitality of those previous visits lives on!

The Perfect Weekend Getaway

Maine Huts provides the perfect weekend getaway. Four days of skiing, snowshoeing, and puzzles by the wood stove with a gaggles of friends. Where else in the wilderness can you go where you are provided with three wonderful meals a day and the night sky provides the best show around?! Special thanks to the crew at Flagstaff for the impromptu coffee house music hour!

Wonderful stay at Flagstaff Hut

We had a magical time at Flagstaff with absolutely perfect trail conditions and beautiful weather. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful, and the meals were fabulous- love the quiche, lentil soup and delicious lentil rice casserole!
Thank you for an unforgettable weekend. We can’t wait to go back!
