Pete Mason
Senior Project Manager, General Dynamics Information Technology
Pete Mason is a hiker, mountain biker, golfer, fisherman and snowmobiler, and feels at home in Carrabassett Valley. He has over 21 years with General Dynamic IT, and previously worked for the National Education Association, National Park Service, and wrangling in Montana. Pete lives in Yarmouth, Maine, with his wife and twin daughters.
Dan Walker
Partner, Chair of Government Affairs Group, Preti Flaherty
Dan is a Partner and the Chair of Preti Flaherty’s Government Affairs Group. Prior to joining Preti Flaherty, Dan served as Legal Counsel to the Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives. In addition to Maine Huts, he also serves on the Board of the New England Council. Dan grew up and attended schools in Blue Hill, and lives in Freeport with his wife and two sons.
Ron Bear
Penobscot Tribal Council Member & Tribal Land Manager
Ron Bear is member of the Penobscot Nation Tribal Council and Land Manager overseeing the stewardship of Penobscot tribal lands. Ron’s passion is connecting people to the ancestral lands of the Wabanaki through adventures in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and music. Ron is a member of the Burnurwurbskek Singers, a Wabanaki drumming and singing group, and lives in Old Town, Maine.
Nina Weyl
Maine Field Director for the National Trust for Local News
Nina Weyl is the Maine Field Director for the National Trust for Local News. She believes that Maine Huts & Trails is an exceptional way for people to connect to this unique community many of us live in or visit often. She and family live in Freeport, ME and spend as much time as they can in the Carrabassett Valley.
