Welcome Meg Patterson, our new Development Director
Maine Huts & Trails is thrilled to welcome Meg Patterson as our brand new Development Director.

Originally from Alaska and brought up by a long line of outdoorists, Meg has long known the power of wild places and the communities that care for them. She’s drawn to the edges—where access meets stewardship, where quiet reflection gives way to shared experience. That’s what brought her to Maine Huts & Trails in 2025, where she now serves as Development Director, combining over a decade of experience in storytelling, fundraising, and purpose-driven outreach.
Meg’s work has always focused on helping mission-forward organizations and brands thrive—pairing strategy with soul, and campaigns with conversations around the campfire. She’s happiest when the work is hands-on and rooted in purpose, whether that means shaping development strategy or stacking firewood at the huts.
Off the clock, you might spot her hiking, sailing, skiing, or poring over trail maps she’s only halfway serious about following. Though she now calls Midcoast Maine home, her compass often points inland—drop her a line if you want to swap stories, share a cup of coffee, or hit the trail together!
