New Appliances at Poplar Stream Hut

Christmas came early this year for Poplar Stream Hut! The hut was outfitted with three brand new restaurant-grade refrigerators and freezers. These new appliances will be more energy efficient than their predecessors and will provide our hut staff with an improved kitchen setup.

A generous donor stepped forward with a dollar-for-dollar match to help cover the cost of this essential infrastructure upgrade. Their leadership gift sparked additional support from our community, making it possible to safely store food and essential supplies and better serve everyone who visits the hut. We’re grateful for all the support that helped turn this project into a reality.

Getting the appliances to Poplar in the winter was a feat! Agren Appliance delivered the three, and from there they were transported up through snow with our tracked side-by-side. They are now situated in the hut’s kitchen, and ready for opening day on Saturday, December 27th.
