New Benches at Flagstaff Lake Hut

Maine Outdoor Adventure Club, regular visitors and friends of Maine Huts, identified a need for improved outdoor seating at Flagstaff Lake Hut. A thoughtful donation of boards provided the perfect canvas for a comfortable and cozy fresh seating arrangement around the outdoor firepit.

More Than Simple Benches

Firepits are gathering places for music, stories, connections and reflections. People get a chance to unplug from daily life and enjoy the simple warmth and pleasure of an outdoor fire. These ideals are the cornerstones of a backcountry experience at Maine Huts & Trails.

The Craftsman

Our own Operations Manager Seth Page crafted the benches. He began his fine art studies at Maine College of Art, and finished his Bachelor’s degree in woodworking at University of New Hampshire. Previous endeavors before Maine Huts include building and painting custom electric and acoustic guitars for Parker Guitars.
