Stratton Brook Hut is my happy place. It is a gem, nestled at the top of a mountain. It’s easily accessed and provides just the right amount of adventure getting there! The hut crew were amazing this year – always so accommodating and the food was incredible! Comfy leather couches you can sink into in front of the wood stove overlooking the Bigelows, while tantalizing smells waft from the kitchen? It doesn’t get much better. The huts also always seem to attract the best and most interesting people, and you never know when someone is going to break out the guitar, lead a game of charades, or put on an impromptu singing performance — all of which happened on my most recent visit! It never ceases to amaze. I have many fond memories at the huts!
