Live music and great food are back at Stratton Brook Hut! Join us September 26–27 for a fall overnight in the Maine backcountry, featuring a live performance by acclaimed Maine musician Pete Kilpatrick and a multi-course dinner by local Chef Spencer Lee. Hike or mountain bike your way up through stunning fall foliage, then settle in for the night in private or shared accommodations. It’s a perfect escape into the season.

Pete Kilpatrick is a Maine-based singer-songwriter known for his heartfelt lyrics, magnetic live performances, and genre-blending sound that bridges folk, rock, and Americana. Over the course of a two-decade career, Kilpatrick has become one of New England’s most respected independent artists, releasing multiple acclaimed albums and performing more than 1,800 shows across the country.

With over 15 years in the food industry, Spencer has honed his craft across kitchens in Vermont and Seattle before putting down roots in Carrabassett Valley, where he has served as the head chef at Hug’s Italian Cuisine for the past six years. No stranger to Maine Huts & Trails, he has brought his talents to numerous guest chef dinners and lunches throughout the years. Spencer’s cooking philosophy centers on fresh, local ingredients and the belief that the best food is made with patience and care.

Lodging & What’s Included
Nestled at the gateway to the western Maine mountains, Stratton Brook Hut offers a comfortable retreat for outdoor enthusiasts. The modern eco-lodge is designed with sustainability in mind. The lodge provides 10 bunkrooms, a welcoming great room, a library, with full bathroom including showers and state-of-the-art composting toilets. Adventure awaits just outside the door, with direct access to hiking and mountain biking trails that wind through the landscape and open to sweeping vistas of the iconic Bigelow mountain range.

Two lodging options:
Private bunkroom for groups of 2 to 4 people: $300 per person
Shared bunkroom: $250 per person
Tickets are per person, and cover all meals, gear shuttle, and overnight stay. Guests will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillowcase for lodging. View our sample packing list for inspiration. Please note, Stratton Brook Hut is remote and only accessible by foot or mountain bike.
Private rooms attendees should be purchased on the same transaction. The two shared rooms sleep 8 guests each. Rooms do not have power outlets, so please reach out if you have medical needs.
Cancellation Policy: Event tickets are refundable up to 15 days before the event. Tickets are non-refundable within 14 days of the event.
