Our off-grid facilities offer all of the services you need to enjoy the Maine backcountry with minimal packing. Here’s what to expect during your stay:
Winter
Day Visitors
- Access to toilet facilities
- Potable water
- Access to the reading area and great room.
- Lunch from 12:00 – 2:00 Saturdays and Sundays. Sample Hut lunches include soups, sandwiches and baked goods.
- Free coffee and tea available all day. Donations appreciated!
- Wine and beer is available for purchase at the huts. Check our out selections here.
Overnight Guests
Full-Service stay
- Dinner, breakfast, and lunch (included in the cost of your overnight stay). A trail lunch for your days adventure OR a lunch served at the Hut. Trail lunches vary but may include sandwiches, wraps, fruit and other snacks. Hut lunches include soup, sandwich and baked goods.
- Wine and beer available for purchase at the huts.
- Free coffee and tea
- Bunk with foam mattress and pillow (please supply your own pillowcase)
- Heat – the main hut and bunkhouses have radiant floor heating and are heated up to 55°F
- Great room with sofas and fireplaces, and access to books and games in the library area
- Lighting
- Potable water
- Private hot Showers with biodegradable soap, composting toilets, sinks and mirrors
Self-Service Stay
- With the exception of food being provided, all of the Full-Service amenities above!
- Access to kitchen facilities for cooking and preparing meals (Guests bring your own food!)
- Gas stove and cooktop, refrigerator, and all our pots, pans, oil, and basic cooking gear for use
- Basic food supplies available for purchase: Pasta, pasta sauce, rice.
- Good To-Go dehydrated meals from Maine also available to purchase.
- Free coffee and tea
Summer
Day Visitors
- Trails are always free! No fee or membership required.
- Each hut has a screened porch that is open with indoor seating.
- Porch contains bike tools, pump and bike stands.
- Outside picnic tables
- Huts are open on select weekends. Check our Events page or social media for updates!
