“Our school hosted a winter event at the Stratton hut ten years ago, and then a friend told me about skiing between huts. My daughter gave the trip to me as a Christmas present! We snowshoed and hiked (with spikes) between Stratton and Poplar. The huts are amazing, the staff incredible, and we even met Wolfe Tone at the first hut, who was so supportive of the staff–calling each out by name and thanking them. We will definitely be back! The trails were beautiful, but not really conducive for skiing without metal edges. Some work with an excavator to widen and smooth them out would be a game changer. Thank you!!” —Phil
