Testimonial: Women’s Yoga Retreat

“A Beautiful Space for Connection, Reflection, and Renewal

During Indigenous Peoples Weekend, we ( The Loft |Family Focused Yoga, from Farmington, Maine) had the pleasure of hosting a women’s retreat at the huts, and it was truly a beautiful experience from beginning to end.

Twelve amazing women hiked into the lodge during the height of fall foliage season, carrying only their water bottles and snacks thanks to the incredible gear shuttle service provided by the huts. This thoughtful service allowed everyone to fully enjoy the hike and arrive ready to settle in, connect, and embrace the weekend.

We were fortunate to have Kat Kirwan from the famous restaurant 122 Corson, as our chef for the weekend. She prepared delicious, thoughtfully created meals, including lunch, dinner, and breakfast, that brought everyone together around the table and added another special layer to our experience.

The lodge itself was the perfect setting for our retreat. The well-equipped kitchen and spacious main dining area allowed us to rearrange the tables and create a welcoming circle for our group. We shared movement, reflection, and meaningful conversations in a space that felt both comfortable and inviting. Saturday evening gathering around an amazing fire for dancing and a special letting-go ritual. On Sunday morning, we began our day with a sun salutation before leaving. With the retreat centered on the theme of releasing what no longer serves us, like the leaves falling from the trees in autumn, it was a meaningful way to honor the season and our time together.

What made this experience so special was the spaciousness the huts offered, not just physically, but in the opportunity to slow down, breathe, reconnect with ourselves, and build meaningful connections with one another. The combination of the natural surroundings, the welcoming lodge, the wonderful amenities, and the thoughtful gear shuttle service made it possible for us to create a truly memorable experience.

The huts provided such a beautiful environment for bringing women together in community. We left feeling nourished, connected, and grateful for the time we shared.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the huts to anyone looking to create a retreat or gathering centered on nature, wellness, and connection. It was a fabulous weekend, and I am so grateful we had the opportunity to share it there.” —Jenn (Family Focused Yoga)
