Each season, Maine Huts & Trails offers nightly stays and full hut rentals at our eco-lodges. Cross country ski, snowshoe, or fat bike to our three lodges for a winter backcountry experience, hike, bike or trail run in the summer. Book through the step-by-step process below.

2026 Summer Dates and Pricing

New for 2026! We are offering nightly weekend stays at our Stratton Brook Hut. Guest pack in their own gear and food items, and utilize the hut kitchen for cooking.

Self Service (Friday – Sunday nights):
  • May 29th to August 30th: Adults $87 per person, per night, Youth (12 and under) $55 per person, per night.

Thanks to your generous support through our winter season, we are able to open our doors during the rest of the year to school and community groups that may not otherwise be able to experience western Maine’s mountains, forests, and waters through immersive backcountry experiences. We will show you a list of available trips around the time you pick.

How many nights will you be staying with us?

Cancellation Policy

Our trails are always free, and our huts are open everyday during the winter season. Due to the remote nature of the huts and the advanced planning needs, we follow a strict cancellation policy. Please note, we don’t close the huts for inclement weather, including cold temperatures, snow, or rain.

Winter

Reservations under 10 people are refundable up to 15 days before the trip. Reservations within 14 days of the trip are non-refundable and cannot be modified or rescheduled.

Groups of 10 or larger require a 25% deposit at time of booking, and the remainder is refundable up to 15 days before the trip. Reservations within 14 days of the trip are non-refundable and cannot be modified or rescheduled.

Summer

Full hut rentals require a 25% deposit that is refundable up to 45 days before the trip. Rentals cancelled within 45 days of the stay are non-refundable.

Reservations for individual bunkrooms are refundable up to 15 days before the trip. Reservations within 14 days of the trip are non-refundable and cannot be modified or rescheduled.

Events

Our year-round events are fundraisers for our nonprofit organization. Tickets may be cancelled for a full refund up to 15 days before the event. Cancellations within 14 days of the event are non-refundable and treated as a donation.

 

While we understand weather, road, trail conditions and health issues can be challenging, please note that our cancellation policy remains unchanged. For those with concerns, you may wish to consider travel insurance.
