Hiking, with access to multiple 4,000′ peaks in the Bigelow Range and Mountain Biking, with over 50 miles of single track, IMBA level bike trails starting at the nearby Sugarloaf Outdoor Center.

 

Description 

Poplar Hut is the easiest hut to access from the Maine Huts &Trails headquarters in Kingfield. Hike through mossy ancient forests, along mountain streams and swimming holes, and past spectacular Poplar Falls; this is the perfect day trip destination. Enjoy easy access to over 50 miles of single track mountain biking trails in Carrabassett Valley, or hike one of the 4,000' peaks in the Bigelow Range.
