Upper Dead River Paddle

Canoe along the pristine Upper Dead River, meandering through dense, wild forests. After a short hike along the river, you'll find your canoes waiting at the Bunting Landing. You'll paddle a flat 6 mile stretch of water, arriving at the Grand Falls dock. Hike about two miles to Grand Falls Hut, where you'll spend the rest of your trip exploring the waterfalls, woods, and wildlife surrounding the hut.

Overnight lodging and three meals are included. Canoes, Kayaks, PFDs, and paddles are available for an additional charge, and must be reserved in advance of your trip.

Mountain Bike Endurance Training Loop

Explore some of New England’s best single track terrain on this two night advanced/expert mountain bike trip. Stay trailside at Stratton Brook Hut, and challenge yourself with an exhilarating 50K loop, designed as a training course for the Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge.

This trip is for advanced/expert riders only who can safely spend a full day riding technical terrain, often out of cell phone range. The suggested training loop includes significant elevation gain over many miles, including plenty of black diamond single track. While this is a great way to train for an endurance race, it’s open to anyone ready to put on some serious miles.
