Summer Youth Groups

At Maine Huts & Trails, we are passionate about getting the next generation into nature. Our huts are a perfect home-base for youth groups to explore Maine's unique landscape and learn along the way.

Each summer rental will have the hut to themselves. Our huts sleep between 38-48 guests, spread out between multiple bunkrooms. We offer a full commercial kitchen for DIY meals, hot showers, modern composting toilets, and more. Our Flagstaff Lake Hut has a fleet of canoes and kayaks, with lifejackets and paddles. Groups can learn about our off-grid hut systems, and see solar energy collection and composting toilets in action.

Our huts have a large great room perfect for utilizing as a classroom, screened porch, outdoor seating and firepits, and miles of trails to explore.

Testimonials

“We had a wonderful time out at FLH for our retreat and we are beyond thankful for yours, Wolfe's and MHT's generosity in allowing us to utilize the space. FLH was exactly what we needed and where we needed to be at that time."

"We had a phenomenal time at Flagstaff and are truly grateful for the experience. What a special place. It was the perfect combination of having a home base in a wilderness setting. Having access to the kitchen was also really great. I appreciated the student’s leadership and support with the meals. Michael, Catherine, and their family were informative, helpful and welcoming. Sincere appreciation to both of you for helping to make it happen. We would love the chance to stay again should the opportunity arise."
-Morse School, Bath

"The weekend was lovely! Despite the rain, we really enjoyed ourselves and the Flagstaff Hut campus—folks were even able to take out the kayaks and canoes, go swimming (we had some brave attendees), and forage a bit."

"Thank you for helping us organize such a rewarding weekend and making us feel so welcome. The kids had a blast and they didn't want to come back to Falmouth!"
