Winter Gear Shuttle Driver

Position Summary
Maine Huts & Trails is seeking an experienced, responsible snowmobiler to maintain and operate our machines for the purposes of shuttling gear for our guests. The Shuttle Driver’s primary responsibility is to efficiently transport baggage between our trailheads and huts using snowmobiles and Jet sled trailers while working to create memorable outdoor experiences and a welcoming and friendly environment for our visitors. Other tasks may include but are not limited to: trail maintenance, blowdowns removal, trail packing for grooming, hut maintenance, machine/trailer maintenance, trail head cleaning and shoveling, and food order runs.

The Shuttle Driver must have an outgoing personality and possess excellent organization, verbal communication, and problem solving skills.
Experience operating machinery and snowmobiles, in particular, is a requirement. Experience in hospitality services is preferred.

Applicants must be self-sufficient and capable of maintaining high standards in an isolated environment.

Qualifications
- At least one year Snowmobile experience
- Ability to life 50+lbs (gear, shoveling, food cargo)
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing manner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to perform work with minimal supervision and to work well under pressure.
- CPR/First Aid certification desirable, Wilderness First Aid preferred
- Clean driving record

Dates
December 27 though March 30th (weather Dependent)

Schedule
Part-time, Seasonal
Weekends, weekdays, mornings 

Compensation: Starting at $12/hr

This position will begin starting December 27, 2021 and run through April 1st, 2022.
